Physiotherapy can be beneficial for a wide spectrum of issues, from small niggles to more significant injuries. Bridget has extensive experience in providing physiotherapy for horse riders, however, you do not have to be a horse owner or rider to benefit from her skills. Some examples of conditions that Bridget is able to treat include:
- Post-operative orthopaedic problems
- Soft tissue injuries
- Sports injuries
- Rider asymmetry
- Back and neck pain
- ‘Trapped’ nerves
Following a thorough assessment, Bridget will discuss with you an appropriate treatment plan. Potential treatment modalities that may be used include strengthening and mobilising exercise programmes, soft tissue massage and release, spinal mobilisations, Pilates -based exercise programmes, postural retraining, and taping. Being mobile, Bridget will travel to you, thus making appointments convenient and easy.
You do not need a referral from your GP to have a physiotherapy assessment for yourself. However, if you are thinking of claiming through your private medical insurance then you will need to discuss your cover with your insurance company first.
